MAC Heirloom / Objects of Affection/ Viva Glamorous Collection- Winter 2014

Hey guys! This collection is a ways away but I figured I may as well start posting about it now! This will be MAC's big Christmas collection this year, and is has fun packaging so the prices will be a bit higher than usual. The packaging looks to be plain black with little silver glitters! They will have makeup bags available once more this year, in black, silver and cream that will be glitter. The release date seems to be sometime in October.. a little early, no? It's still early so I'll update more and more as time goes on! Lots more after the jump.

LORAC Royals Collection + MEGA PRO PALETTE ?

Hey guys! I just got wifi in my apartment this past Saturday so hopefully I can get back into the swing of things. I've seen images of the Mega Pro floating around Instagram, as I'm sure many of you have, but now Lorac has confirmed the palette's release as well as an entire winter collection! Of course I'll update this as much a possible, and I do plan to purchase the Mega Pro once it becomes available, so that will get its own review.

MAC Pro Lipstick Launch- Summer 2014

Hey guys!

MAC Pro lipsticks just became available to the public- more accessibly, at least, as I do believe they were always online? However now they will be hitting stores, but I'm unsure about counters. I actually plan to stop by my counter tomorrow, so I'll ask them and update this post. Exciting though! I can finally repurchase my Smoked Purple lipstick, that someone was oh so kind enough to steal from me in high school... rude. Anyways, here's whats coming to stores:

MAC Osbournes- Bijou Lipglass Review

Hey guys! I'm going to have a lip swatch of this tomorrow- the weather was terrible so I couldn't get good lighting for photos today. I do however have images of the lipglass itself so those will be included. I do like this shade! Its definitely a my lips but better shade, especially because it's slightly translucent to let some of your natural colour peep through, so it'll look different on everyone! In the tube its a medium pinky-rose colour and looks more muted.

The feeling of the gloss stayed around for about 3 hours, but the pigmentation was almost totally gone by then. This was in no way drying, but it didn't feel particularly hydrating either. Its very flattering and natural though, I'm glad they went with a shade like this after all of Kelly's lipsticks!

A perfect MLBB shade!

 I don't believe I currently have any dupes for this shade! I'll shop my stash and update this if I find anything, but I think that in my collection this shade is unique. Definitely worth a peak if you don't have a shade like this already!

MAC Osbournes- Peaches & Cream Blush Review

Hey guys! I have another blush here for you! I'm not sure which blush I like more, this or Cheeky Bugger, but I think this one is sliding forward! Firstly this does have better pigmentation, however its still a bit powdery. It does leave a sheen to the skin, more-so than CB but its very flattering and doesn't emphasize pores. This also does have a silver sparkle, but its nothing that concerns me. Peaches & Cream is deeper than CB so I think a lot more people will get use out of this. Its like a medium yet subdued pink, almost a bit red with a silver sparkle. So hard to describe!

Since this is still a bit powdery, its a buildable blush so its not going to be crazy pigmented on the first dab, so you can work slowly to get the colour you want.

Again, swatched over face primer to give it some stick. 

Selfie time again! I'm wearing P&C here with bronzer. 

Wear time was solid, I wore this for a ten hour day and didn't notice too much fading by the end of it. Also there was no change in colour, unlike CB. This shade was also very blendable so don't be afraid of how it looks in the pan!

I don't have any dupes in my collection thus far for this blush. I say if you like it, get it!

MAC Osbournes- Cheeky Bugger Blush Review

Hey guys! So first of all, This blush reminds me of strawberry milk. For real though, just look at this!

Thirsty?

I will say this looks a bit warmer on the cheeks though! I still love the colour, however its a bit lacking in pigmentation since the blush is fairly powdery. I would be careful to avoid kicking up a mess of powder and wasting product or making a mess! This does apply very smoothly though, with a slight sheen. I wore this for a solid 12 hour day, and it was still there when the day was done, however it had started fading around the 8 hour mark, and as it faded it gradually looked warmer and warmer on the skin, like it was oxodizing a bit.

Selfie time! I'm wearing Cheeky Bugger here. As you can see its not the most pigmented, but its very natural and flattering!

I also think the colour of this blush makes it go well with a variety of looks, its definitely something you can throw on if you're not sure of what to wear!

I swatched this over face primer to try and give it some grab, but as you can see its still quite sheer with a nice sheen.

I don't think deeper skintones are really gonna be feeling this blush, I'm an NC15 and I think NC25-30 and darker may have a hard time getting this to show up. However, if you are a packaging junkie, why not right?

Dupe wise, the closest I have is Frat Boy by The Balm, which is similar in colour but a bit darker, and matte, so maybe those with a darker skin tone will prefer that instead.

MAC Osbournes- Cranberry Lip Liner Review

Hey guys! Let me just start with saying I reeeally regret not buying two of these. This shade is gorgeous! For a darker red, I think its still fantastic for summer and I'll be wearing it even more in the fall. I'll definitely be on the hunt for a dupe to this shade.

For a lip liner this wore wonderfully on its own! It wasn't drying in the least, and it wore off evenly and not patchy or leaving that ugly ring around my lips. I wore this to work the other day and got a solid 6 hours before it started to go on me. Its just such a beautiful shade! Its like a muted pink-tinged red, if that makes any sense at all. It applied really smoothly and had great pigmentation, and it didn't look dry on the lips, just very natural.

So pretty! 

 I don't have a dupe for this right now, the closest I have is my NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp, which is a bit brighter and more red. Still close though! DEFINITELY grab this, if nothing else!

MAC Osbournes- Riot House Lipstick Review

Hey guys! I'll have a lip swatch for this posted tomorrow, it was horribly overcast today and I didn't want to give you guys crappy pictures. I do have a photo of this in the tube, though, so I'll include that. To start with, I really don't think I like this lipstick. I haven't tried it with a liner just yet (I imagine it'd look great with Cranberry liner) but on its own it wears terribly. I also don't really know what skin tone would be able to wear this alone! It applies MUCH lighter than it looks in the tube, even layered. It also applied the worst out of the 3 shades I have, initially looking streaky and patchy. I had to work with this a lot more than I'd like to work to make a lipstick look good. On my NC15 skintone it really blends in, kinda like a more orange-looking concealer lips kinda deal. This wore for about three hours before it looked so bad I just had to take it off. This is VERY unforgiving. It settled into my lip lines right after I applied it, and stayed there. It's also the most drying of the three lipsticks, which doesn't work in its favor because as it dries your lips out it accentuates how dry its making them! What?! I am absolutely determined to make this lipstick work. Let me know how it works for you!

don't get too excited, it looks WAY lighter than this on.

I currently don't have any dupes for this in my collection.. Kinda glad, to be honest, as this lipstick was a real pain in the ass. If you really love the colour, hey, go for it! But if you want your lipstick to work for you rather than you working for your lipstick, I say pass.

MAC Osbournes- Dodgy Girl Lipstick Review

Hey guys! Lip swatches will be added tomorrow, it was horribly overcast today and I didn't want to give you guys bad pictures. I do have pictures of the tubes though which are pretty true to colour. To start off with, this is definitely my favourite of Kelly's lipsticks. I find it applied the best, actually smoother than KYY which is weird since Dodgy Girl has a matte formula. I didn't find this shade to be particularly drying, but definitely not hydrating. This wore very well, however it didn't fade evenly, leaving the middle of my lips before the rest, and leaving behind a slight deep pink stain. I think this shade actually is very flattering, and definitely one of the more universal shades from this collection. Over time it did settle into lip lines, however it wasn't immediate and wasn't horribly noticeable.

Currently I do not have a dupe for this in my collection. I do think that as daring purple can be, this is quite tame and I actually think it'd be a great shade to test the waters with if you're unsure of such a daring colour, since it leans quite pink. I do recommend picking this shade up!

MAC Osbournes- Kelly Yum-Yum Lipstick Review

Hey guys! I'm hoping to get all my product reviews out by Thursday so you can all head out to your stores and pick up what you like. The first lipstick I played with was Kelly Yum-Yum! Firstly, I will say that for a Satin formula this wore a lot more like a Matte. I found this to look pretty unforgiving on the lips, especially as it wears. That does work against it, as it is lightly drying so your lips won't look as nice by the end of the wear. This lipstick held up about 3-4 hours, but after two hours I noticed it settling a bit and looking drier. It left a stain, mainly around the borders of my lips that lasted until I took off my makeup, about 7 hours later, although the stain was darker than the shade originally on my lips and in the tube. I did eat wearing this, which is when I noticed is appearance going downhill. 

Close up, you can see how it highlights the bit of dryness on my upper lip. It was a bit overcast when this was taken, its more vibrant in real life.

Speaking in terms of the colour itself, it is not a dupe for Candy Yum-Yum.

CYY is brighter and lighter, and a bit more blue based. This is like its more wearable sister. This also looks similar to Revlon Matte Balm in Showy, but again definitely not dupes. Overall if you love pinks, I would recommend scooping this bad boy up! As long as you keep your lips hydrated or top this with a gloss, you'll be okay. Its also the most wearable of all the lipsticks released in this line.

MAC Playland Lipstick Review- Toying Around, Sweet Experience

Hey guys! I've had a good time to test out these shades and let you all know how they wear / feel on the lips, so I wanted to share. Here we go!

I'll talk about Sweet Experience first, as it is the shade I was most excited for. This entire collection was in the traditional MAC packaging. MAC describes this shade as simply a "bright pink" with an Amplified Creme finish. This is a warm toned light pink shade that looks slightly pastel on the lips. This shade is quite similar to the For Your Amusement Casual Color.

This is a really lovely looking shade but your lips definitely need to be in top shape to pull this off! It is quite unforgiving, and settled into my lip lines in less than a few minutes. It wore for around 3 hours on me, and came off almost entirely after a meal. It was neither drying nor hydrating, but like I said it is quite unforgiving so prep the lips well. Not my favorite shade, but if you don't mind lipsticks that are a bit high-maintenance then its still a great shade for summer! 

The other shade I picked up was Toying Around. MAC describes this shade to be a "Hot Coral Pink" with an Amplified Creme finish. This is a very vibrant coral-red shade, not so much pink in my opinion.

My camera makes this look much more orange than it actually is is!

I think that because this is a darker shade than Sweet Experience, is doesn't highlight the flaws in the lips as terribly. I'd still prep before wear, as it will still catch on any drier areas, and eventually settle in the lips a bit, but not as intensely as Sweet Experience. This wore about three and a half hours, and left a light stain behind. Again, this was neither drying nor hydrating. I didn't experience any bleeding with this shade, and if a lipstick is going to bleed on anyone, its me. I think this is a really fun shade for summer!

MAC Mineralize Expansion!

Hey guys! MAC just recently expanded their Mineralize collection, with a few new MSF's and way more shades added to the original MSF Natural line! I've also seen some new packaging floating around, the MSF Natural's are now in a compact more like MAC's other compact foundations, with a mirror. The MSF's are also in a redisgned compact, where the lid is see through and bubbled out. I'd post some images but my laptop isn't really working properly at the moment, my right click doesn't work and thats the only way I know how to save images to my computer. Anyways, onto the shades!

MAC Sized to Go!

Woo! This collection launched either today or yesterday, and I'm glad MAC finally did something like this. They've released quite a list of travel-sized products, all priced at 10$ US, and I imagine closer to 12$ CAN. I'm not sure of the likelihood of all these products hitting counters and stores, but it would be nice! I actually recently purchased a mini Fix+ to keep in my purse at a MAC store. Super excited! Apparently it'll be out on the 17th, although I don't have much info on this yet. I'm heading down to my MAC counter today to ask some questions ;)

MAC Studio Sculpt Shade & Line Collection Spring/ Summer 2014!

Hey guys! I meant to make this post earlier, but between all the more exciting collections this one fell through the cracks. This is just a brief overview with photos, as the collection launched online today and will be in stores the 17th. These are priced at 21$ AM and 25$ CAN and will be limited edition. These are kinda supposed to be a whole eye look in one pan, with its mixture of textures and finishes. The center colour is a matte shade, which can be used to eyeliner, while the shadows on either side have finishes ranging from sparkly to metallic, and all these shades are meant to be used wet or dry. I think the idea is fantastic, and great for travel, I'll be picking one of these up to see how they preform.

MAC Tres Cheek Blushes- Swatches and Review!

Hey guys! I have 3/4 blushes that were released earlier this week. Two of them; Peony Petal and Lovecloud I own from the original release, and I picked up Full of Joy just the other day. I held off on Modern Mandarin because I don't feel like its a colour I'm confident pulling off in my pale state, and since these are permanent I'm in no hurry to pick it up. All the photos I have taken were taking in natural, but not direct sunlight, as the direct sunlight made my photos seem even more washed out, so these photos are as true to colour as I could achieve. All my photos were taken with my Samsung Galaxy SII. Everything you need to know is after the jump!

MAC x Disney Maleficent Collection for Spring / Summer 2014!

Right off the bat I gotta say I'm kinda bummed with this collection. Of course I expected MAC to stay true to its odd "one red lippie a collection" rule, but not that it would be the ONLY lipstick?! Where's my purple? The eyeshadow quad is all permanent eyeshadows slapped in a pretty package... Heck, a lot of this stuff is permanent. This was a great opportunity to whip out some awesome stuff, even repromote some most-loved items from Maleficent's first time around with MAC... Such as the purple lipglass some girl stole from me a few years ago... Sigh! There's honestly only one, maybe two products I'm really feeling for this collection. Although, those who just don't have enough red lipsticks are most definitely in luck for this. I haven't heard word on the prices just yet, I can't imagine they'd jack them up too high from the regular prices, since the packaging is nothing spectacular. Here's the colour story:

MAC Proenza Schouler Collection Spring 2014! *UPDATE*

Hey guys! This post is going to be all the info I have for the collection plus photos! This hits stores April 3rd! The packaging is totally to die for, but sadly it causes the prices to get jacked up on all the products. Unless something is a must have here for you (like the ombre blushes!), save up for other upcoming collections! I of course will probably pick up a few things sheerly because I just like to collect LE packaging, like many of you out there! On to the colour story.

This has been pushed back! I'm not really sure what went wrong, but don't panic if you can't find it today since no one has it! I've seen a few dates floating around on when it will be out, your best bet is to call your local store or counter to hear straight from them!

MAC Alluring Aqua Collection for Summer 2014! *UPDATED WITH MORE PHOTOS*

Hey guys! I don't think I mentioned this in my big post about all the collections coming out from MAC, since I hadn't heard much about it. For now I just have some images to show you, and I'll keep you updated with a colour story once I find it! This collection will be In Extra Dimension, so hopefully they'll be bringing back Whisper of Guilt! Also, *apparently* you can actually feel texture on the packaging, like water droplets. Although it is gorgeous you can just tell that this packaging will hold onto fingerprints terribly, just like RiRi Hearts MAC. Oh well! Here's what I found:
